Transitional period

Sometimes I think we live in a transitional period. We have the ugly face of adolescence; we do not live in childhood (physical contact life like before 90's) or maturity (full virtual contact life). We are somewhere in this between, moving towards living in virtual world. At this stage, we are looking at the virtual world trough those little electronic displays. Many people spend most of their time in front of these screens looking at this virtual life and contributing in it through these interfaces. By completion of these stages people will live in virtual world possibly unaware of the existence of physical life.
Sometimes I wish either I had my youth in 60's and 70's or I would be born in a100 years when this stages are passed but… what if we are already in one virtual life trying to move to another one? What if this is not a real physical life but one of many virtual lives we have already passed?. Oh come on I don't want to think about it too much it drives me nut!!
